My name is Lindsay Robbins and I am recent graduate of the University of North Texas with a Master of Science in Library Science. My focus has been on archival studies, however I am also interested in data analytics, and I have experience in the museums profession working with, cataloging, and caring for historic objects. I began the program at UNT in the fall of 2021 and graduated in May of 2023. Previously, I received a master's degree in art history, which is where I had my first real experiences with archives, academic libraries and collections and was drawn to them as a career option. Currently, I am the Collection Manager for Old City Park (formerly Dallas Heritage Village) where I manage and organize the collection and associated files, adhering to the American Alliance of Museums best practices.

I have a wide variety of skills and experience in the arts as a whole, with an undergraduate background in music education as well as studio art. In the time during and between my early degrees, I taught private flute lessons and briefly supervised the ceramics studio at my community college. My love of arts and culture is what makes me passionate about the potential of archives to celebrate the achievements of humanity.

This portfolio showcases my work during my time in the Master of Science program at the University of North Texas. You will also find my professional philosophy, educational history and resume. I also detail my understanding of the ALA Core Competencies, ongoing professional development, as well as a personal blog outlining some of my experiences throughout my time in the Library Science Program.
