Professional Associations

Society of American Archivists (SAA): I am a member of the SAA which is the most recognized, oldest and largest national organization for those who are currently or are seeking to work within an archive. Additionally, members have access to many educational resources including the American Archivist, a well-known peer-reviewed journal.

American Library Association (ALA): As a member of the ALA, I am part of the oldest and largest library organizations globally. Considered a major advocate and support network for librarians and libraries, the ALA provides access to numerous academic publications and resources for those seeking to enter the field. Through ALA Connect, I have been able to join several social groups that are particular to my interest areas, including the ACRL Arts Section and the ACRL Rare Books and Manuscripts Section.

Texas Association of Museums (TAM): As the Collection Manager at Old City Park, I have access to resources provided by the Texas Association of Museums, a large, regional organization that allows Texas museums and historical sites of various types to communicate and corroborate.

American Alliance of Museums (AAM): The AAM provides numerous resources for museum managers and has set standards for museum professionals. Old City Park is an AAM-accredited museum; as such, I rely on their resources consistently.
